SIDRA SOLUTIONS, a leading provider of advanced traffic engineering software, presented a highly successful Training Workshop and User Group meeting held in the vibrant city of Oslo. The presentations were jointly conducted by Mark Besley, Director at SIDRA SOLUTIONS and Arvid Aakre, the Norwegian representative of SIDRA SOLUTIONS, who also played a key role in coordinating the events in his home country.

The event attracted around 50 attendees from various parts of Norway, as well as Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. Participants included both experienced and less experienced SIDRA users.

The Training Workshop program catered to the diverse experience levels of attendees. The morning session provided a basic introduction to the SIDRA INTERSECTION software, featuring hands-on computer use. After lunch, advanced topics such as calibration, Network modelling, phase and pedestrian actuation, and public transport priority were covered. Attendees were also presented with the new features of Version 9.1.

The second day focused on the User Group Meeting, where users shared and discussed modelling cases that utilized SIDRA. The meeting facilitated in-depth conversations with the SIDRA experts, exploring challenging cases and generating suggestions for future enhancements to the SIDRA INTERSECTION software. The event also included brief presentations and discussions on other software packages used in Scandinavian countries, further enhancing the understanding of users' modelling needs in the region.

The attendees rated both presentations and the software highly, demonstrating significant interest in SIDRA. The event's success, as reflected in the attendance numbers and positive feedback, was greatly appreciated by everyone involved.
