Three-Laning a Two-Lane Roundabout - The Outcomes

Abstract

Using aaSIDRA (SIDRA INTERSECTION) software, VicRoads engineers redesigned a highly congested two-lane roundabout in Melbourne, Australia as a three-lane roundabout eliminating persistent congestion. Detailed field surveys were conducted before and after the reconstruction. This article presents detailed information about this study.
