Version 2.1.3 Details
The changes introduced in aaSIDRA 2.1.3 that will take effect after
successful application of Update Pack 2 are described below.
The following enhancements were added in aaSIDRA 2.1.3
- The calculation of minimum gap-acceptance capacity was improved in cases where two movements with low volumes share a lane.
- A revised version of the aaSIDRA User Guide is included.
aaSIDRA 2.1.3 resolves the following problems found with version aaSIDRA 2.1.1
- When the default lane width of 3.3 metres was used in standard left-hand, right-hand and New Zealand versions of aaSIDRA, a slight adjustment was made to the saturation flow. This width value should give no adjustment. This problem did not occur with HCM versions (Metric and US Customary units).
- In some unusual cases of fixed-time/pretimed signalised intersection analysis, the aaSIDRA model kept running and did not produce results.
- When a continuous movement was specified on a stop-controlled approach, vehicles in the continuous movement were assumed to stop, leading to an overestimate of geometric delay and related parameters.

Version 2.1.1 Details
The changes introduced in aaSIDRA 2.1.1 that will take effect after successful application of aaSIDRA 2.1 Update Pack 1 are described below. If you wish to keep a record of these changes, you should save or print these notes now.
The following enhancements were added in aaSIDRA 2.1.1
- The abbreviation of US Gallons in aaSIDRA output when US Customary units are used has been set consistently to "gal". Previously a mixture of "gal" and "ga" was found in aaSIDRA output.
- Support for non-Dollar currency symbols such as Euro (€), Pound (£) and Yen (¥) has been added to aaSIDRA HTML Output Tables and Movement Displays. In aaSIDRA 2.1.0, attempts to use these symbols caused all output produced from XML (HTML Output Tables, Movement Displays, Geometry Picture and Picture Set) to disappear.
aaSIDRA 2.1.1 resolves the following problems found with version aaSIDRA 2.1.0
- For sign-controlled intersections, a lower limit was being applied within aaSIDRA processing to the value of the critical gap parameter than was allowed as input. This meant that results were not sensitive to increases in the critical gap above a certain value. This problem also limited the effect of increased critical gap due to specification of Heavy Vehicle Equivalent for Gap Acceptance or Sensitivity Parameters - Follow-up Headway & Critical Gap.
- A memory allocation error was reported for some repeated Parameter Scaling runs.
aaSIDRA reported a program error but still produced seemingly reasonable results in cases where a low minimum green time was specified.
- Program crash under unusual conditions of short lane overflow.
- Annual Sums and Roundabout Linear Capacity Model Excel applications would not load when there was an ampersand character (&) in the name of the current data file.
