Registration
The first time that you use the software after installation, you should register the software as required. To register SIDRA TRIP, you require a Serial Number and a Customer ID (User ID). See Release Notes for detailed information.
Trial Version
SIDRA TRIP Trial Version does not require registration by the user. The Customer ID (User ID) and Serial Number are not required.
After starting SIDRA TRIP, the Trial dialog will appear. Click Try to use the software within the allowed period. The Trial Version will operate in Trial Mode for up to 30 days. Each time the software is started, the Trial dialog will appear.
The software is fully functional in this mode. However, the software output produced in this mode will indicate that the software is an UNREGISTERED Trial Version.
After the maximum period allowed for Trial Mode has passed, the software will no longer operate. The Trial dialog will indicate "0 of 30 days remaining" and the Try button will be unavailable. Click Cancel to close the program.
The Trial Mode period will not be reset if you uninstall and reinstall the software. If you wish to continue to use the software, you must purchase it and register using the Serial Number sent to you by Akcelik & Associates.
Defaults and Options
The initial settings for SIDRA TRIP are:
- Current Default System = Metric Units and
- Drive Rule = Left.
US users may wish to set:
- Current Default System = US Customary Units using Tools - Defaults, and
- Drive Rule = Right using Tools - Options - Animation.
SIDRA TRIP User Guide
The SIDRA TRIP User Guide is installed with the software for direct access from the SIDRA TRIP menu (Help - User Guide).

We recommend that you make use of these examples for learning about the software. The Examples shortcut in the Start - All Programs - SIDTRIP 1.0 can be used for this purpose.
Uninstalling and Maintenance
To uninstall, use Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs, select SIDRA TRIP from the program list, and click the Remove button.
For maintenance, use Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs select SIDRA TRIP from the program list, and click the Change button. The SIDRA TRIP Setup Wizard will appear. Click Next to proceed to the Setup Maintenance dialog. Select whether you want to Modify (change the way that features are installed), Repair (restore SIDRA TRIP files to their original states) or Remove (uninstall).
Downloadable Material
The SIDRA TRIP Downloadable Installation file contains SIDRA TRIP Version 1.0 for installation (Section 2.1.1), example files (see above), and the User Guide (Section 2.3.3). To install SIDRA TRIP, follow the instructions under INSTALLATION
