Software ENGINEER
Akcelik and Associates (trading as SIDRA SOLUTIONS) is an innovative award-winning software company that develops and markets specialised traffic engineering software products to a worldwide client base.
We are seeking a competent SOFTWARE ENGINEER to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. This is a Full-Time position with a salary to be on par with the candidate's experience and skills.
The job will involve software development tasks in products for use in the design, analysis and evaluation of road traffic facilities and conditions. The successful candidate will work in a small team maintaining and enhancing products using the latest Microsoft technologies, and will be involved in all stages of the software programming life-cycle from requirements analysis, specification writing and programming to testing, product documentation and technical support.
- Object-oriented design and programming in Microsoft .NET and C#
- Experience with SQL, WPF, 2D graphics programming and multi-threaded programming
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Significant industry experience and project management skills
- Fluent written and verbal English language skills
- High level of initiative and excellent communication skills
- Capability to work effectively within a project team
- Knowledge and experience in any of the areas of FORTRAN language, transport engineering, environmental engineering, and SIDRA SOLUTIONS products are a major plus
