Accounts Officer
Akcelik and Associates (trading as SIDRA SOLUTIONS) is an innovative award-winning software company that develops and markets specialised traffic engineering software products to a national and international client base.
We are seeking a competent ACCOUNTS OFFICER to join our small friendly office team in Melbourne (Balwyn North), Victoria. This is a Part-Time or Full-Time permanent position with a salary in the range $50-65 K including superannuation.
Salary will be on par with the candidate's experience and skills. The number of days to work is negotiable depending on the candidate’s availability.
The job will involve a broad range of accounts office tasks in a small office with the use of MYOB PREMIER software being central to implementing these tasks.
The following skills, behaviour and experience are required:
- Competency with MYOB PREMIER accounting software.
- Significant industry experience with bookkeeping and accounting.
- Good computer skills including competence in MS Excel and Word.
- Capability to work effectively and maintain strong supportive working relationships with the team members.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Good communication and time management skills with multi-tasking and attention to detail.
- Fluent written and verbal English language skills.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconciliations.
- Banking and other duties as required.
- Payroll and taxation duties including BAS preparation.
- Maintaining asset register.
- Contribution to the maintenance and improvement of accounts office procedures.
