Paulo is a Director at PB e Associados Traffic Engineering based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Paulo lived in Melbourne, Australia, for 12 years where he completed his Master’s Degree in Engineering at RMIT. During his time in Australia, Paulo worked in the Traffic Engineering area in a variety of roles in the Public and Private Sectors, using SIDRA as a basic requirement to analyse the performance of the road network. He first met Dr Akçelik in 2002 when he attended his first Sidra training course. In 2012, Paulo returned to São Paulo, Brazil where he opened his own traffic engineering practice representing SIDRA Solutions in the Brazilian market.
Adem Aslan is an Authorised Representative of SIDRA SOLUTIONS and an accredited SIDRA INTERSECTION trainer. He has more than 10 years experience in Traffic Modelling, Traffic Simulation and Training. He successfully completed a Master of Degree in Civil Engineering (Traffic and Transportation) at Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. He is the owner of Aslantic, a German-based engineering company with the focus on know-how transfer in the field of traffic. He trained over 500 people in different traffic software workshops worldwide.
Axel Wilke is a Director of ViaStrada Ltd, a Transport Planning and Design consultancy based in Christchurch, New Zealand. He has a Masters in Civil Engineering from Canterbury University, and has been active as a traffic engineer and transport planner in New Zealand since 1998. He specialises in traffic engineering, sustainable transportation, traffic signals, road safety and intersection modelling. Axel peer reviews research projects, carries out independent transport research and regularly contributes papers and presentations at conferences.
Through commercial courses and university lectures Axel teaches intersection design, planning and design for cycling and walking, economic assessment, and intersection modelling. He is an accredited New Zealand representative for the SIDRA INTERSECTION software and has been running SIDRA training workshops in New Zealand for many years.
Arvid Aakre is an associate professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. He has comprehensive experience and knowledge within traffic engineering, data collection, traffic modelling, simulation, and intelligent transport systems and services. He also acts as head of the Traffic Engineering Research Centre, a cooperation between NTNU and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA).
Aakre has been a user of SIDRA since 1986, and he has been teaching SIDRA for his students for several decades. He has also been in charge of several SIDRA workshops for Norwegian SIDRA users, and SIDRA has become the main tool for performance analysis of intersections in Norway.
He has considerable international research experience, and he has had long-term research visits in Germany, England, Australia and Spain. During his stay in Melbourne, Australia in 2005/2006 he was involved in research and development of SIDRA software, and he has been a SIDRA Representative since 2006.
Howard McCulloch (NE ROUNDABOUTS, USA) is an Authorised Representative for SIDRA SOLUTIONS. He conducts roundabout design and analysis training workshops and business development in North America.
Howard graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the State University of New York (SUNY) in Utica/Rome back in 1997. He has worked full time in the roundabout analysis, design and training field since 2001. Howard has extensive experience working in both the public and private sector and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Vermont and New York State.
