Update SI Older Versions

The information given in this page is for the users of OLDER VERSIONS of SIDRA INTERSECTION (Versions before 5.1). These users should note the following:

• Technical support is NOT AVAILABLE for these OLDER VERSIONS of SIDRA INTERSECTION since technical support is provided only for the latest versions of SIDRA SOLUTIONS software.  
• OLDER VERSIONS may include modelling of some outdated methodologies representing OUTDATED PRACTICES.  Provision of some level of help towards older versions of SIDRA SOLUTIONS software does not mean approval of outdated practices.
• Therefore, purchase of a new licence for the latest version SIDRA INTERSECTION 5.1 is recommended rather than using the outdated software versions. 
• Keeping your COVER subscriptions up to date ensures that you will always have the latest software version and you will be entitled to technical support at no extra cost.

SIDRA INTERSECTION Versions 5.0 & 4.0 have a facility for automatic download and installation of software updates. This requires internet connection. When you run the program, it will identify if there is a more recent version of the software available, and ask you if you want to apply the update.

You can also check if there is an update by clicking the SIDRA INTERSECTION button and then clicking "Check for Updates".

Automatic update function will only check for minor updates within that version, for example Version 5.0 will not check for existence of Version 5.1.

SIDRA INTERSECTION Version 3.2 Service Pack 2 will upgrade Version 3.2.1 (or 3.2.0) to Version 3.2.2 if you have Version 3.2.1 (or 3.2.0) installed on your computer. Version 3.2.0 users can apply this service pack directly without applying the Version 3.2.1 service pack first.

This service pack will NOT update Version 3.1 to Version 3.2 which was a major upgrade (all users with valid COVER at the time of its release received a free upgrade to Version 3.2).

Note: Facilities for licence deactivation for Version 3.2 no longer exists.  Therefore, we are not able to assist with reactivation problems.

Instructions: Apply Version 3.2 Service Pack 2

1. Download the above update pack file SIDRAIntersection32_SP2.exe and save it on your local hard drive. 
2. Run the file SIDRAIntersection32_SP2.exe.  

Note: Please do NOT uninstall SIDRA INTERSECTION 3.2.1 (or 3.2.0). It MUST be present for the update pack to run. This update pack will upgrade Version 3.2.1 (or 3.2.0) to Version 3.2.2. It will NOT be necessary to re-register and re-activate.

Update from aaSIDRA Version 2.1.3 to 2.1.4 is a limited update to be applied if you have experienced problems with aaSIDRA Licensing as a result of installing Microsoft's.NET framework version 2 on your computer. Install this update ONLY if you have the .NET framework version 2 problem.

aaSIDRA 2.1 Update 2.1.3 to 2.1.4 will install aaSIDRA Version 2.1.4 if you have aaSIDRA 2.1.3 installed on your computer. If your version is not 2.1.3, you need to apply Update Pack 1 and then Update Pack2 before applying aaSIDRA 2.1 Update 2.1.3 to 2.1.4 (see information below).

Instructions: Update 2.1.3 to 2.1.4

1. Download the above update file aaSIDRA213to214Patch.exe and save it on your local hard drive. 
2. Run the update file aaSIDRA213to214Patch.exe. 

If you get an error about the version number of your aaSIDRA 2.1, you need to apply the previous Update Packs 1 and 2 to upgrade to version 2.1.3 before applying aaSIDRA 2.1 Update 2.1.3 to 2.1.4.  See below.

All aaSIDRA 2.1.0 and aaSIDRA 2.1.1 users should apply aaSIDRA 2.1 Update Pack 2. aaSIDRA 2.1 Update Pack 2 will install aaSIDRA version 2.1.3 if you have aaSIDRA 2.1.1 installed on your computer. 

If your version is 2.1.0, you need to apply Update Pack 1 before applying Update Pack 2. aaSIDRA 2.1 Update Pack 1 will install aaSIDRA version 2.1.1 if you have aaSIDRA 2.1.0 installed on your computer.

1. Click Help-About in the aaSIDRA Main Menu. If the version listed is 2.1.1.354, you should apply Update Pack 2 only.
2. Download the above update file aaSIDRA213UpdatePack2.exe and save it on your local hard drive.
3. Before you apply the Update Pack:
   Have your original aaSIDRA CD available, as it may be required during the update process.
4. Run the update file aaSIDRA213UpdatePack2.exe.

Instructions: Apply Update Pack 1 (for aaSIDRA 2.1.1)

Download Update: aaSIDRA2.1UpdatePack1.exe

1. Click Help-About in the aaSIDRA Main Menu. If the version listed is 2.1.0.346, you should first apply Update Pack 1.
2. Download the above update file aaSIDRA2.1UpdatePack1.exe and save it on your local hard drive.
3. Before you apply the Update Pack: Have your original aaSIDRA CD available, as it may be required during the update process.
4. Run the update file aaSIDRA2.1UpdatePack1.exe
5. You should then proceed to apply Update Pack 2 following the instructions above.
