SIDRA INTERSECTION is now in use by about 430 organisations (over 2000 licences) in the United States. This includes most major US Departments of Transport. We are delivering training programs to DOTs who are in the process of starting to use SIDRA INTERSECTION.

We have recently launched our new website built by our development team who have made it much easier to navigate and find the information you need quickly. Amongst many improvements, the ONLINE STORE has been made easier to use, all full product details appear on YOUR ACCOUNT homepage, the TRAINING section has been reorganised, and the SUPPORT section now brings together Technical Support, Technical Advice, Sales Support, Product Support (including Licensing topics), Account Support and Software Updates. The Articles page in the RESOURCES section presents many downloadable papers, reports and presentations in a more consistent way.

//Software UPDATES

New software UPDATES have been issued for SIDRA INTERSECTION, SIDRA TRIP, INPUT COMPARISON and all SIDRA UTILITIES during October. For detailed information on all recent software updates, refer to the Updates section of our website. 

SIDRA TRIP Version 1.1 has been released to replace Version 1.0. The new version has a new licensing method integrated with the eCommerce system, allowing for SINGLE and ENTERPRISE licence types, similar to other SIDRA SOLUTIONS software. All users of SIDRA TRIP version 1.0 have been upgraded to Version 1.1 free of charge.

Work is in progress towards the next major version SIDRA INTERSECTION 6.0 incorporating multiple intersection analysis.  Keep your COVER up to date - don't miss out.

// Fuel and Emissions Model Calibration

Our SIDRA INTERSECTION and SIDRA TRIP software use the same power-based model of vehicle fuel consumption and emissions. The model is based on our research work which won the Institute of Transportation Engineers (USA) 1986 Transportation Energy Conservation Award for research into energy savings from urban traffic management. We have now undertaken a research project to calibrate this model for modern vehicles for use with the four-mode elemental form of the model in SIDRA INTERSECTION and the instantaneous form of the model in SIDRA TRIP. The purpose of the project is to make use of the results in SIDRA INTERSECTION Version 6.0 and SIDRA TRIP 2.0.

 Roundabout design software TORUS Version 3 with a SIDRA INTERSECTION link developed by Transoft Solutions (Canada) will be released soon. The program will be launched with a special webcast. We'll publicise the event as soon as the arrangements for the webcast are finalised.
